Building Your First Slip

Building Your First Slip

AUTODFS •• LEARN · UPDATED 2026-08-03

Five steps. The last one matters more than the other four combined.

  • 1. Pick your app. Click the tab for the app you actually play on. Lines differ between apps, so the board changes with the tab.
  • 2. Pick your slip size. Use the strategy chip. It shows the payout and the exact bar, like “3 PICK POWER 6x · ≥55.0%”.
  • 3. Add picks. Click the green value chip on a row. It joins your slip on the right. Click again to remove it.
  • 4. Send it. When the slip is full, SEND fills those picks into the app. You review and submit it yourself — nothing is placed for you.
  • 5. Bet the same small amount every time. See below.

Step 5 is the whole thing

Your edge on a good slip is a couple of percent. That is real, and it is also small enough that a normal losing streak will bury it if you bet too big.

So pick one number — many people use 1% of their bankroll — and bet it on every slip. The same amount when you feel great about it. The same amount when you are chasing. The same amount after four losses.

Long-term bankroll management is key. Flat sizing is what turns a small edge into money. Doubling up to win it back is what turns a small edge into nothing.

Three habits that will save you money

  • Do not force a slip. If only two picks are green, play two, or play nothing. There is no rule that a day must have a bet in it.
  • Do not stack one game. Legs from the same game move together, so the slip is riskier than it looks. The board flags this.
  • Judge months, not nights. A losing week says nothing. A losing quarter says something.

That is the whole path. If you want the deeper math — devigging, line shopping, per-app strategy, sharp money — the guides below go there.

FAQ

How do I build a slip on AutoDFS?

Choose your app tab, choose a slip size with the strategy chip, then click the green value chip on each pick you want. When the slip is full, SEND fills it into that app for you to review and submit yourself.

Does AutoDFS place bets for me?

No. It fills the picks into your own logged-in slip on the app's own site. You review it and submit it yourself. It never sees your login and never auto-submits.

How much should I bet per slip?

A small, fixed amount every time — commonly 1% of your bankroll. The edge on any single slip is a couple of percent, so it only shows up over hundreds of entries. Betting big on one night is how a real edge still goes broke.
