PrizePicks vs Underdog vs Betr: Payouts Compared

AUTODFS •• LEARN · UPDATED 2026-10-28

PrizePicks, Underdog and Betr all sell the same product — pick more or less on player lines for a fixed multiplier — at different prices. The price that matters is the per-leg win rate an entry needs to break even. Lower is better.

What the ranking says

  • Underdog's small entries lead. 3.5x on a 2-pick and 6.5x on a 3-pick put the bar at 53.5% and 53.6%.
  • Big flex entries are close behind. PrizePicks' 6-Pick Flex (54.2%) and the 5-Pick Flex on PrizePicks and Betr (54.3%) need deep boards of small edges.
  • Small flex entries are the most expensive. PrizePicks' 3-Pick Flex needs 59.1% — worse than any power play.

Payout is half the answer

A cheaper bar only helps if the line is good. The three apps set their own lines, and they often sit half a point apart on the same player. That half point can be worth more than the payout difference. AutoDFS prices every line on every app against the sportsbook consensus and grades it against that app's break-even, so the EV% on each tab already includes both the line and the payout.

FAQ

Which pick'em app pays the most?

By break-even, Underdog: its 2-pick Standard pays 3.5x and its 3-pick 6.5x, needing 53.5% and 53.6% per leg. PrizePicks and Betr pay 3x and 6x on the same entries, which need 57.7% and 55.0%.

Is a 6x 3-pick on PrizePicks the same as on Betr?

The payout is the same (6x, 55.0% per leg). Betr pays 5.4x instead when all three picks go the same direction (three overs or three unders), so mix sides to keep the 6x.

Does the best-paying app always have the best picks?

No. The payout sets the bar; the line sets the probability. A leg that is 56% on PrizePicks can be 52% on Underdog because the lines differ by half a point. AutoDFS grades each app's lines against its own break-even, so compare EV%, not payouts alone.
